What is the reaction of the Crankshaft Sensor?
There are roughly the following reactions:
1. Slight (small deviation) There will be a car that is weak, and it can't be oiled uphill.
2. If it is serious, there is no idle speed, or the engine in the idle state is seriously shaking. When the fuel is refueled, the exhaust pipe will blast! And occasionally accompanied by blasting sounds come on fire!
3. If the deviation is too large, it will not start at all. When some models hit the motor, they will hear the impact sound in the engine. That is the sound of the piston top hitting the valve (this is not the case with advanced cars).
In short, if the Crankshaft Position Sensor is broken, the corner of the crankshaft cannot be confirmed. The engine computer does not receive the signal from the crankshaft position Sensor. In order to protect the engine, it will not ignite or spray, and the car will show signs. There is no high voltage, no fuel, no car.
However, please be assured in this small series, this situation does not happen, as long as you change the timing belt once a year, check the tensioner wheel during installation, and adjust the tensioning force, timing mark installation as required, not There will be something.
How to detect the crankshaft sensor is brokenFirst, the detection and processing of magnetic pulse type crankshaft position sensor
Below, Xiaobian will take the magnetic pulse type crank position sensor used in the electronic control system of the Crown 3.0 sedan 2JZ-GE engine as an example to illustrate its detection method. The crank position sensor circuit is shown in the above figure.
(1) Resistance check of crankshaft position sensor
Turn off the ignition Switch, open the wire connector of the crankshaft position sensor, and measure the resistance between the terminals on the crankshaft position sensor with the resistance of the multimeter, as shown in the figure above. If the resistance value is not within the specified range, a better crankshaft position sensor is required.
(2) Output signal check
Open the wire connector of the crankshaft position sensor. When the engine rotates, use the voltage gauge of the multimeter to detect whether there is a pulse voltage signal output between the G1-G-G2-G and NE-G terminals on the crank position sensor. If not, you need to replace the crankshaft position sensor.
(3) Clearance check between induction coil and timing rotor
The air gap between the timing rotor and the protruding portion of the induction coil is measured by a thick ghost, and the gap is about 0.2-0.4 mm. If the gap does not meet the requirements, the electrical housing assembly needs to be replaced.
two. Detection and processing of position of photoelectric crankshaft position sensor
(1) Wire harness inspection of crankshaft position sensor
When checking, disconnect the wire connector of the crankshaft position sensor, set the ignition switch to (ON), and measure the voltage between the 4# terminal and the ground on the harness side with the voltage gauge of the multimeter to be 12V, the harness side 2# terminal and the 3# terminal. The voltage between the ground and the ground should be 4.8-5.2V, and then check the wiring harness side of the multimeter with the resistance of the multimeter. ##瑞子与地 should be 0Ω (conducting).
(2) Photoelectric crankshaft position sensor output signal check
Use a multimeter to reduce the voltage on the sensor side 3# terminal and 1# terminal. When the engine is turned on, the voltage should be 0.2-1.2V. When the engine is running at a slow speed, the voltage of the 2# terminal and the 1# terminal of the universal voltage range is 1.8-2.5B. Otherwise, the crankshaft position sensor should be replaced.
three. Detection and processing of Hall type crankshaft position sensor
The detection method of the Hall type crank position sensor has a common point, that is, it is mainly judged whether it is good by measuring whether or not the output point pulse signal is used.
(1) Inspection of sensor power supply and voltage
The ignition switch is set to (ON), and the voltage of the 7# Ruizi on the ECU side is measured by the multimeter voltage file to be 8V. Otherwise, the power supply, the line is short-circuited or the connector is in poor contact.
(2) Checking the voltage between terminals
Test the ABC three terminals of the sensor with the voltage gauge of the multimeter. When the ignition switch is set to (ON), the voltage between the AC terminals is about 8V; the voltage between the terminals is 0.3-5V when the engine is rotating. Change back and forth, if the above results are not met, replace the position sensor.
(3) Resistance check
Set the ignition switch to the (OF) position, open the crankshaft position sensor wire connector, and connect it to the sensor's terminal AB or AC with the multimeter Ω gear. At this time, the multimeter displays the reading as ∞ (open circuit), if there is resistance, The crankshaft position sensor should be replaced.
